Welcome friends and family warmly this winter. Not that you’d ever consider otherwise, but endeavor to host your home-based parties this year with an extra generous serving of panache.
Need an occasion? The weather has chilled. Neighbors need to socialize. A compelling urge to unite with loved ones. Maybe it’s a spiritually inspired celebration. Perhaps a going away party for the old year and the welcome-to-the-neighborhood party for the new. We’ve countless reasons to celebrate, countless motivations to make the last soiree of 2008 sensational.
Elegant or eclectic. Regal or rowdy. Traditional or trendy. Whichever thematic undercurrent you choose, enjoy that anticipatory process of preparation.
Revel in the decisions. From the favors to the festivities, from the menu to the music, create an atmosphere guests in attendance will remember for years to come.
Don’t neglect your personal partywear. For my event this year, I plan to start in Lhullier and then segue to vintage lingerie for the countdown -- I may even strategically place a lampshade or two for good measure.
